Liver disorders encompass many conditions that affect the liver’s structure or function. We treat all types of liver diseases, including liver failure patients.
Types of Liver Disorders
Hepatitis
Inflammation of the liver can be caused by viruses (hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E), alcohol, toxins, or autoimmune diseases. Chronic hepatitis can lead to liver cirrhosis or liver cancer.
Liver Cirrhosis
A late stage of scarring (fibrosis) of the liver is caused by many forms of liver diseases and conditions, such as hepatitis and chronic alcoholism. Cirrhosis can lead to liver failure.
Fatty Liver Disease
A condition in which fat accumulates in the liver cells, leading to liver inflammation and damage. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated with obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, while alcoholic fatty liver disease results from excessive alcohol consumption.
